LOVELY JOB ticks plenty of boxes and Harding rode the last two winners of the race. He also has course experience and age on his side. THE YOUNG MASTER might have been a big priced winner the last day but I said in my preview that day that he was dangerously low in the weights. Up 5lbs now but that might not be enough to stop him. SKY PIRATE would have to buck plenty of trends to win this but he looks an interesting runner and can play a part. STATION MASTER has at least been round this track before and despite only have the one chase start he jumped well enough and looks sure to relish this step up in trip

Big field handicaps aren’t my favourite races but I’ll try my best to narrow it down and hopefully include the winner in there somewhere. SNAPDRAGON FIRE fits the profile of a winner in here having won at least won a race and having Richard Johnson on board. DREAM DU GRAND VAL could be anything and having joined a top yard he’s worth keeping an eye on in here. DOSTAL PHIL looks a capable sort and the recent run plus the addition of first time headgear should see him go close. SIZING CUSIMANO has at least run round here albeit over further and his mark looks workable but he could be vulnerable to one in here. MY BROTHER has to be worth watching after his last race where it’s hard to say how much his stumble cost him. At even bigger prices ANTUNES looks very interesting having run in decent enough company last season twice and has now been gelded and faced a wind op. ROCKPOINT has mostly raced right handed but if that’s not a deal breaker for him now going left he could outrun his odds

BUN DORAN looks an obvious player and is very consistent but I’m not sure I’d want to risk him for win purposes.  A HARE BREATH & DOITFORTHEVILLAGE have both won round here and both come in here fresh but that might not be as much of a boost for the latter although I’m confident he’ll be ready.  SHANAHAN’S TURN is impossible to catch right but with the yard flying this might be a good opportunity. The drop in trip is a curious decision but it’s one that his trainer is well known for making. MOVIE LEGEND looks to fit the safer profile of a winner but the lack of course form is a negative

A very competitive race and each runner can have a case made for them but I’m expecting big things from WHITE MOON and while he’s entitled to need this run and arguably wants a longer trip he will hopefully go very well. MR WHIPPED was a nice sort over hurdles but gave the impression he was short of top class. That could change over fences as he’s been schooling well but as the likely favourite I’m inclined to take him on. JERRYSBACK has been off the course even longer than WHITE MOON but does like a proper chasing type and is unbeaten under rules although it’s not clear exactly to what level that was achieved

I always find the cross country handicaps fiddly affairs. TIGER ROLL is an absolute beast. He’s a 3 time festival winner and a Grand National Winner so you can see why in this race type he is favourite. That said, I think if you’re going to take him on this is the time to do it. His target will be another Festival win so I’m not convinced he’ll be given a hard time of it. BLESS THE WINGS will be here to win and has been 2nd at three festivals but I have a slight concern that he comes here fresh. JOSIE’S ORDER ran at Punchestown this time last year and was beaten a nose when sent off the 1/2 favourite. He likes quicker ground I think so I’d expect on these terms he’s the one to beat

Both PYM & NESTOR PARK came with a reputation and while PYM was beaten by a nice sort last time out when conceding weight I think it’s fair to say he’s underachieved given the hype that surrounded him. The step up in trip might help and that might show his true potential but I’d be cautious with him for now anyway. NESTOR PARK alike didn’t quite fit the description when tried in better company while bumpering but this might not be that hard an intro to hurdling and stating out at this trip is usually a sign that he’s be waiting for a trip. COOLANLY being a second season novice is interesting and it was disappointing to see him fall the last day after being well supported as we’d clearly know a lot more about him now. He can be a player but I prefer the look of DARLAC. Looked a very nice type on debut, the step up in trip is a massive plus and he’ll enjoy the ground. As mentioned before the yard are flying and I think he’s worth siding. DOUBLE TREASURE will try to make all and if given a soft lead would be hard to peg back. He has won round here when allowed to dictate and the ground will be just up his street today whereas at Chepstow when caught it might have been on the soft side for him if only slightly
