Who will be the winner?

I think you’ve got to fancy Germany to be honest. They’ve got a depth to their squad that no other team can compete with

Who is the dark horse?

I fancy Denmark to do well in this tournament. They could cause an upset and are a pretty decent side.

Who will be the top scorer?

Obviously you’ve got to fancy the big guns. Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar etc. I think Timo Werner could have a decent tournament though. He’s been banging them in for Leipzig. And if my Denmark prediction comes true then I wouldn’t put you off Christian Eriksen.

Who is the player to watch?

Again, Timo Werner could have a good tournament I think. Of the lesser known players, keep an eye on Sardar Azmoun from Iran as well. He’s been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Celtic in the past and rumours are circulating that he could be in the Premier League next year.

Who will be the winner?

I think Brazil have a good chance if neymar is fit!!

Who is the dark horse?

Maybe not much of a dark horse but I think Belgium could do really well!

Who will be the top scorer?

I’d like to say Harry Kane but I’m not sure how far England will go so I may just opt for the goal machine that is Mohamed Salah! Let’s see if he can continue his fantastic season with a good showing at the World Cup.

Who is the player to watch?

I like the look of Kylian Mbappe for France or if given a chance I’d like to see Marcus Rashford do well

Who will be the winner?

My top favourite team is Spain. Young and talented team with the best goalkeeper (De Gea) and high level Midfielders line in the competition (Isco, Iniesta, Busquets, Silva…)

Who is the dark horse?

Nigeria has a complete team and qualified very easy for the World Cup. Look out for the “Eagles”.

Who will be the top scorer?

100% for sure, it will be Messi or Ronaldo. I guess Cristiano Ronaldo, he will arrive in a good shape.

Who is the player to watch?

There are many great players, but I think everybody will have an eye to the new sensation: Mohamed Salah (Best player in Premier League 2018)

Who will be the winner?

France – I just can’t believe the strength and depth they have in their squad. They have a tendency to implode as a team prior to these big tournaments but at 7/1 they look very good value and should make it out of their group with little fuss.

Who is the dark horse?

Nigeria – They beat Argentina in a friendly and they could well spring an upset here. If they were to top the group they would likely be looking at a very winnable first knockout game should France top group C. At 250/1 they have to be worth a go with a few to cashing in some along the way.

Who will be the top scorer?

Antoine Griezmann – Backing France to go all the way so it makes sense to stick with a french player for this pick. I think Griezmann could be on his way this summer and a big world cup would see the offers come in.

Who is the player to watch?

As much as it pains me to say it I think Raheem Sterling could prove a match winner for England. If he can play anywhere like he has done this season he should be involved in anything good that happens.

Who will be the winner?

Who can forget Germany routing Brazil 7-1in the semi-s in 2014? German efficiency at its best. While this years World Cup is tighter than ever I still fancy the Germans to have the mindset (and talent) to overcome all challengers to the throne.

Who is the dark horse?

Switzerland & Belgium have undoubtedly impressed with their young squad since the last world cup & a lot of players now coming of age. I think Switzerland are still mightily underrated & have a great chance of getting through the groups & beyond.

Who will be the top scorer?

Kylian Mbappe is one of the hottest talents in the world right now. What better way to prove it than on the worlds largest stage? With Australia, Peru & Denmark in the group I think France could run riot on the goals front. griezmann could bag a few but for value I am going for Mbappe.

Who is the player to watch?

Kylian Mbappe is only 19 years old yet is already the 2nd biggest transfer in history of football. He is probably still seen as 2nd string to Antoinne Griezmann in the French squad due to experience but I think he will shine through & grab the headlines this year.
