Premier League Pick 4 Preview

Pete O’Rourke previews this week’s Premier League Pick 4 – join his syndicate HERE

Palace v Saints

Roy Hodgson begins his reign as Crystal Palace manager at home to Southampton aiming to get them their first points of the season. Palace have lost all four games and failed to score in those games which led to the sacking of Frank De Boer. Scoring goals is the Achilles heel for both clubs with Southampton failing to score in three of their opening four games and carrying on from last season they have failed to score in eight of their last ten games. A low-scoring affair looks to be the pick at Selhurst Park and a stalemate would be a step in the right direction for Hodgson and Palace.

1-0, 0-0, 0-1

Huddersfield v Leicester

Huddersfield suffered their first defeat of the season to West Ham on Monday night so all eyes will be on them to see how they respond against Leicester. Leicester have had a tough run of fixtures in the opening weeks of the season losing to Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea and they will see this as a game where they could pick up all three points. Huddersfield have shown they are a tough nut to crack in their first season in the Premier League and this could be an entertaining draw this weekend.

0-0, 1-1, OD, 2-1

Newcastle v Stoke

Newcastle have picked up back-to-back wins in the Premier League to get their season off and running, keeping two clean sheets in those victories. Stoke impressed in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United last time out and look to have added goals to their team this season. Stoke’s away form was disappointing last season, but Mark Hughes’ men should have enough quality to come away from Tyneside with either a draw or all three points.

0-0, 1-1, 0-1

Spurs v Swansea

Spurs aim for their first Premier League win at their temporary home Wembley when they take on Swansea on Saturday. Harry Kane got off the mark in last weekend’s win over Everton and now the England star is firing this should be a home win for Spurs. Swansea were disappointing in last weekend’s home defeat to Newcastle. Paul Clement will look to set up his team to be hard to beat against Spurs and the four points they have picked up this season have all come on their travels.

1-0, 2-0, 3-0
