Whilst the Manchester Derby may not have been a classic, the circumstances surrounding it were some of the most interesting in living memory.
Manchester United found themselves wuth the uneviable responsibility of deciding which of their two hated rivals would become Premier League champions.
It was speculated that the United fans would prefer to lose and spend a season in the Europa League rather than hand Liverpool the title and it quickly became on social media that most of the country felt the same.
The bizarre circumstances around the match didn’t go unnoticed…
