We’re here to explain the meaning of AOH in betting. AOH is an acronym for ‘Any Other Home Win’. It has two brothers called AOD and AOA (‘Any Other Draw’ and ‘Any Other Away Win’).
To simplify these terms further, we have removed the ‘Any’ and refer to them as ‘Other Home Win’, ‘Other Draw’ and ‘Other Away Win’.
What are Other Home/Other Draw/Other Away?
They are selections in Correct Score betting markets designed to give the bettor the upper hand:
To remove the need for players to have to pick unlikely scores, these scores have been grouped together into ‘Other’ brackets. ‘Other Home Win’ covers the home team winning by any score other than the ones specifically listed (for example, 4-0, 4-1, 5-3 etc) and ‘Other Away Win’ covers the away team winning by any score other than the ones listed (for example, 0-4, 1-4, 3-5 etc).
Therefore, if a team scores 4 or more and wins the game then the result will be settled as an ‘Other Home/Away Win’ depending on which team has won.
‘Other Draw’ covers draws other than 0-0 and 1-1 (for example, 2-2, 3-3 etc).
When should you choose ‘Other Home/Draw/Away’?
When you have the feeling that there might be a thrashing coming up in a given fixture, or a game that you feel has the potential for goals galore.
E.g. 6 of the last 8 league meetings between Liverpool and Arsenal have finished as an ‘Other’ result.
