We’re here to explain the meaning of ‘Other Home Win’ in betting, as well as its two sidekicks, ‘Other Away Win’ and ‘Other Draw’.
The three terms are found in our Correct Score Football pools, as well as Correct Score markets in the wider betting community:
They are selections in Correct Score betting markets designed to give the bettor the upper hand:
To remove the need for players to have to pick unlikely scores, these scores have been grouped together into ‘Other’ brackets. ‘Other Home Win’ covers the home team winning by any score other than the ones specifically listed (for example, 4-0, 4-1, 5-3 etc) and ‘Other Away Win’ covers the away team winning by any score other than the ones listed (for example, 0-4, 1-4, 3-5 etc).
Therefore, if a team scores 4 or more and wins the game then the result will be settled as an ‘Other Home/Away Win’ depending on which team has won.
‘Other Draw’ covers draws other than 0-0 and 1-1 (for example, 2-2, 3-3 etc).
When you have the feeling that there might be a thrashing coming up in a given fixture, or a game that you feel has the potential for goals galore.
E.g. 6 of 8 league meetings between Liverpool and Arsenal from 2013 to 2016 have finished as an ‘Other’ result.
If there are other terms that you find confusing then don’t hesitate to let us know via Twitter so we can help to clarify.
